Miami Valley Bassmasters
About Our Club...
The Miami Valley Bassmasters is a local B.A.S.S. Federation Nation club for those interested in the sport of bass fishing. We are based in Piqua and average twenty to thirty members from the central and southwest parts of Ohio. Club meetings are normally held the third Sunday of every month at the Willowbrook facility on Looney Road in Piqua.
Miami Valley Bassmasters The Miami Valley Bassmasters strive to exemplify all of the positive aspects of bass fishing. As ambassadors to this great sport, we feel an obligation to follow an honorable standard of behavior. We aspire to be role models for today's youth in bass fishing by teaching not only the skills of angling, but also conservation and good sportsmanship.
Founded in 1971, the Miami Valley Bassmasters was one of the first B.A.S.S. Federation clubs in Ohio. The purpose of the club, in simple terms, has always been to promote and protect the sport of bass fishing and all it's resources. Our club has won many awards over the years for conservation, public relations, and our youth actvities. MVBM even won the B.A.S.S. Northern Division Chapter of the Year title in 2005.
The MVBM welcomes men and women, boaters and non-boaters, and has a very active membership. We typically fish six to eight club tournaments a year on local waters from Lake Erie to the Ohio River. Members also participate in many other club functions including fundraisers, conservation projects, youth events, state-level happenings and our annual awards banquet. Members are encouraged to participate in these activities to strengthen fellowship within the club and to promote the friendly exchange of bass fishing related information.
